What the four dimensions describe

• Power position: setting the frame or entering another person's frame (D/S).
• Relationship or scene: an ongoing role identity or a more situation-specific experience (I/O).
• Entry channel: bodily sensation or mental engagement (B/M).
• Momentum: being pushed toward an edge or being precisely attuned to (E/A).

These are the product's organizing choices. Sixteen types follow from combining two sides of each of four dimensions. That arithmetic does not establish sixteen naturally separate groups of people.

How an answer becomes a result

Options have predefined weighted contributions to dimensions, facets and interests. Dimension scores are normalized to a 0–100 scale using the scoring model's possible range. The current type code takes one letter from each dimension, with 50 as the dividing point. A small change near a boundary can therefore change a letter.

Other questions contribute to interest, direction, identity and Switch summaries. Not every question contributes equally to every dimension. The server recomputes a completed questionnaire before returning its result.

A score is a position within this model, not a probability, a measure of worth, or a percentage of people like you. Any provisional percentile calculation uses assumed reference values; it is not a percentile established from a representative population sample.

What has and has not been established

The implementation is checked for scoring consistency, complete answers and result rendering. Software checks do not establish the questionnaire's psychological validity.

We do not currently publish an independent validation study, representative norms, test–retest reliability estimates or evidence that the questionnaire predicts relationship outcomes. We do not claim clinical validation. Reading research about kink does not, by itself, validate this particular questionnaire.

Answers can depend on a partner, experience, mood and how a question is understood. Use the report as a conversation starter. A type does not establish consent, compatibility, readiness for an activity or anyone's safety.
